I’m just finishing up a work-study term in the Tree Ring Lab and am returning in the fall to do a directed studies project comparing the decay rates of downed woody debris in wetter, riparian areas versus dryer, upland areas. My undergrad degree is in Integrated Sciences and focuses on understanding long term change in both living things (genetics, evolution, adaptations, ecology, etc) and in landforms (orogeny, sea level change, ocean circulation). In my spare time I read xkcd, ask questions, wear a funny hat, make scavenger hunts involving dinosaurs, and admire other people’s cooking skills. I also concur with Skylar on the whole pondering the meaning of life thing.
